Student Perspective: Choosing a graduate school seemed daunting at first, but after visiting the NYU School of Medicine, I knew this was the place where I wanted to obtain my PhD. The Skirball Institute in particular was a major driving force in my decision. The institute fosters a sense of community, and there is immense interaction among the labs. It also provides a nurturing environment for graduate students. If I ever need help with anything, there's always someone to turn to.
